IAF Policy Call on the Shifting Meaning of the Term “Risk Based”

October 14, 2020

IAF to Hold Policy Call 14 October on the Shifting Meaning of the Term “Risk Based”

A key objective for privacy legislation during the past decade is the encouragement of risk-based prioritization by both controllers and regulators.  This year the IAF sees the concept of risk-based shifting in a manner that impacts the way decisions are being made and resources are being allocated.  This phenonium is not unique to any region.  In this call, the IAF explores where we are and what it means for data used to serve people.  This is important to how the IAF maps its research, but it is more important to how programs are managed and overseen.  The Teams conference will discuss managing procedural and impact risk as considered  in the blog Risk Based Should Be More Than A Cliché.  Barb Lawler will moderate a discussion with Lokke Moerel, Chris Docksey, Scott Taylor and Marty Abrams. Join us at the time and link below.

Please join the call on Wednesday, October 14 at the time specific to your area.
